Sorry for the delay.. I haven't watched it yet!... been so busy.
On the freighter, Keamy checks in with Lapidus and asks if he's ready. Lapidus says he'll be ready. Keamy warns him not to be late. Lapidus continues below where he runs into Regina, who is standing guard outside sick bay, where Sayid and Desmond are. Regina is acting strange, and Lapidus notices the book she's reading is upside down. Lapidus brings Sayid and Desmond food cans of lima beans. Sayid asks if Lapidus has had contact with their friends, and Lapidus says no, something must have happened to their phone.
At the beach camp, Jin wants to talk about baby names but Sun thinks it's bad luck. Jin is hoping for a girl and wants to name her Ji Yeon, but Sun teases him and says it's going to be a boy. However, Sun is worried since Sayid and Desmond haven't returned yet or contacted them. She makes Jin a promise they get off the island first and then they can pick a name.
WHOOSH to Sun in her Seoul apartment packing. She feels a sharp pain and winces. She calls emergency services, telling them she's pregnant and she thinks something is wrong. Then we see that Sun is nine months pregnant! We are in the future, and Sun is the latest member of the Oceanic Six.
Jin runs into a Seoul toy store, frantic, and asks for a stuffed panda bear. He doesn't have time he has to get to the maternity ward. He doesn't even know if it's a boy or a girl yet. He pays for the panda and runs out.
WHOOSH to the beach camp as Jack and Kate return. Kate explains that Charlotte knocked her out, and Sun becomes concerned. She asks if Faraday and Charlotte are really there to rescue them. Kate doesn't think so. Sun confronts Faraday and asks point blank if they are there to rescue them. Faraday is evasive and says it really isn't his call to make. Sun asks whose call is it, but Faraday won't respond. That's all the answer Sun needs, and she makes up her mind. She tells Jin to get supplies together and not tell anyone. They're going to Locke's camp.
WHOOSH to the hospital as Sun is wheeled in. A nurse tries to remove her wedding ring, and Sun tells her to stop. The nurse explains it's for the swelling, but Sun is adamant. The doctor comes in and tells Sun the baby is in distress. Sun asks them to get Jin, and the doctor assures her they're trying to reach him.
Jin is on a busy Seoul street and flags down a taxi. He puts the stuffed panda inside and gets a call on his cell phone. But he is jostled by a passerby and drops the phone. Before he can pick it up a guy on a moped runs over the phone and crushes it. Then someone else rushes by Jin and gets in his taxi. The cab speeds off and Jin realizes the panda is still inside. Frustrated, he runs back into the toy shop and buys another panda.
WHOOSH back to the beach as Juliet catches Sun going through her stuff. Sun asks for another bottle of the prenatal vitamins. Juliet asks about the last bottle she gave Sun there should be twenty left. Sun doesn't want to discuss it, and Juliet realizes Sun is planning to go somewhere. Sun tells her they're going to Locke's camp. Juliet is shocked. She reminds Sun that women who get pregnant on the island die. Sun points out that Claire's baby is fine, and she feels fine. All she has is Juliet's stories that she'll die, and she doesn't trust Juliet. Sun is going to do what's best for her and for her baby.
On the freighter, Sayid and Desmond are slipped a note that reads, "Don't trust the captain." The doctor comes in and tells them that the Captain would now like to talk to them. As he leads them up, Sayid notices the helicopter is gone and asks where Lapidus went. The doctor doesn't know. Desmond watches as Regina steps up over the railing with a piece of heavy metal chain wrapped around herself and jumps overboard! They scramble to do something, but a voice bellows out for them to stop. They look up and see the captain standing on the bridge. He tells them she's gone and orders everyone back to their posts.
At the beach camp, Kate gives Sun a hand-drawn map to the barracks. Before they can leave, Juliet steps up and says they aren't going anywhere. She asks Sun to translate for Jin, but Sun refuses. However, Jin knows enough English by this point to understand what Juliet says. Juliet tells him Sun is sick, that if she doesn't get off the island in three weeks she will die. Jin becomes alarmed, but Sun tells him to ignore her. Jin tells Juliet that where Sun goes, he goes. They walk off. Juliet is desperate and shouts out that Sun had an affair. Jin stops, and Juliet tells him Sun was with another man. She thought the baby was his. Sun slaps Juliet. Hard. That's enough to convince Jin it's the truth and he leaves, walking back to camp. Sun is devastated.
Back on the freighter, Sayid and Desmond meet Captain Gault. Sayid asks why he didn't do anything to save Regina. Gault says he didn't want to lose anymore crew. He thinks the crew is experiencing a heightened form of cabin fever because of their proximity to the island. Sayid asks why don't they just turn around. Gault says they've tried but someone sabotaged their engines. He's been working around the clock to repair them. Once it's done, Gault's orders are to move to safer waters. Sayid asks whom he gets his orders from, and Gault tells him Charles Widmore.
Desmond is shocked it's Charles Widmore's boat. Gault shows them the black box recovered from flight 815 on the bottom of the ocean. Gault tells them it took a considerable about of Widmore's resources to procure it. The wreckage was obviously staged, and Gault asks who could arrange the resources and manpower to pull off a feat like that. Who could fake the recovery of a plane crash? Where does one find 324 dead bodies? That is just one reason why they want Benjamin Linus.
At the beach camp, Juliet tells Sun she had to stop her from going any way she could. She also wants to get off the island. More than anything. She's not sure if the boat is their answer but it's something. She needs to get home, and so does Sun. In about three weeks, Sun will be in a constant state of nausea. A week after that, she'll experience shortness of breath. Then in another week she'll slip into a coma and die. And once Sun's heart stops beating, so does the baby's. Sun is Juliet's patient, and that's why she had to stop her. If Sun goes to Locke's camp, Sun will die and the baby will never be born.
WHOOSH to a delivery room where the doctor tells Sun they have to do a C-section. Sun says no, they need to wait for Jin. They doctor tells her he is not there, that they have no choice. Suddenly the baby crowns, and the doctor tells Sun to push. Sun cries out in pain and pushes. Her baby is born, and the doctor places it in Sun's arms. It's a little girl, just like Jin wanted. Sun begins to cry.
WHOOSH back to the freighter as the doctor leads Sayid and Desmond to their new quarters. However, there's still a dried blood stain on the wall. The doctor notices a deckhand down the corridor and orders him to mop it up. As the man comes into the light, we see it's Michael! The doctor introduces him as Kevin Johnson. Sayid stares at him hard but doesn't betray his cover.
At the beach camp, Jin returns to his tent. Jin tells Sun he understands who he used to be, a man who withheld his affections, who cared more about his job than her. So he understands whatever Sun did was a reaction to that man, and he forgives her. Sun cries and tells Jin she loves him. Jin says he loves her, too. He tells her he'll go to Locke's camp with her, but Sun says she doesn't want to go. Juliet was very convincing. They have to get off the island no matter what it takes. Jin promises to protect her and the baby, but he asks one last thing. Is the baby his? Sun says yes, it's his. She hugs him and confesses that she thought she lost him. Jin tells her she will never lose him.
WHOOSH to a Seoul hospital as Jin rushes down a hallway. He finds a Chinese security agent guarding a room and asks to speak to the Ambassador. He comes out, and Jin presents the panda as a symbol of Mr. Paik's eagerness to do business with the great country of China. The Ambassador accepts the gift and says he will call Mr. Paik to set up a meeting. As Jin heads out, a nurse asks him why he's leaving. Jin says it wasn't his baby he's only been married two months. Suddenly we realize Jin wasn't rushing to see Sun. His story was different from Sun's. It wasn't a flash-forward it was a flashback.
WHOOSH to Sun's flash-forward. She's in her apartment as the doorbell rings. It's Hurley, and Sun can't believe he actually came. Hurley asks to see the baby, and Sun lets him hold her. Hurley says she looks just like Jin. They leave and go to a graveyard. But it's not any grave they're paying their respects to it's Jin's. Sun holds the baby up to the gravestone and says the delivery was hard on her. She wished he could've been there. She named the baby Ji Yeon like he wanted. Sun starts crying and says she misses him so much. And we realize that whatever happened between the island and Sun's future, Jin isn't in it.

Here is my take. When Jack testified on Kate's behalf a few weeks ago he said that only 8 of them survived the original crash and 6 of them returned safely (hence the Oceanic 6). Well it appears to me that Jack, Kate, Sayid, Hurley and Sun make up 5 of the Oceanic 6. I don't think Jim counts because on his tombstone it said he died in 2004. So Im guessing they whenever they were discovered or whatever on the island there were 2 people dead so they had to explain that (Jack saying that 8 survived). I believe Jin dies on the island, maybe in an effort to save Sun and get her off. So I think there is 1 more person that dies on the island (in addition to Jin) and we still have one more person part of the Oceanic 6.
So are you saying that you think 2 more people die besides Jin? One has to be claire or maybe not- maybe she sends Aaron off the Island with Kate because there is no room for her? If Jin died on the Island, how did they get him off the Island? They would have buried him with the rest of the people on the Island. I still think Jin was the one that died in the final episode last season and that is why no one was there, because he really was in Korea.
Where is Walt? I guess that's the only question I have this week.
Actually, I also wonder what time frame we're seeing all of the flashforwards in. Are they all occurring within the same month or so? Hurley was in the hospital & had no plans of leaving in his flash forward. But, then he shows up all normal to see Sun.
The thing I don't understand is that if Claire died 'innocently', why wouldn't the survivors be honest about Aaron's real mother? It seems like Kate was trying to hide something by the way Jack was reacting to it all...
The timing thing is really bothering me also. Aaron looks like he is like 3 years old in the flash forward that seemingly takes place shortly after the Oceanic 6 return. However, Sun has the baby in the flash forwards which is approximately 6-7 months later...???
Yeah and where is Walt!?
The flashes really confused me last week. Someone please clarify: Jin's flashes were flash backs and Sun's scenes were flash forwards??
Aunt Terry. I like your theory about the funeral in the US. It makes sense to me.
-Danielle
The funeral couldnt be for Jin because if he was really in Korea why would they have a mock casket for him in the US if his body wasnt in there?
Kate's flash forward was 4 years later because her mother referenced that it has been 4 years since she has seen/talked to her
According to Lostpedia.com:
"Jin's Grave has him dying in 2004 on September 22, Oceanic 815's crash date. "
But you are right, the flash forwards are jumping all around in terms of how long post-crash, making it all the more confusing.
Wait a minute, Now I am really confused. Jin's Grave has Sept 22, 2004? Remember when Desmond called Penny it was Christmas Eve. They must have been rescued a few weeks later because Sun would have died if she stayed on the Island. Also if Jin died in the plane crash, then he could not have fathered Sun's baby because she got pregnant on the Island.
Danielle, good observation about Aaron. You are absolutely right- He is about 3 yrs old now. I guess they were showing us Jin's flashbacks before the crash and Sun's after the crash, but you guys are right- there is no timeline in any of these flashes.
Chris, I am thinking that they had a mock funeral in the US because of who he was. You still don't think that was the person in the casket? Who else could it have been? Claire?
Do we have our 6 yet?
I totally understand them having a viewing for someone in the U.S. buy why display a casket if they dont have the body in there. I have been to funerals where if the person was being cremated they didnt have a casket at all, just a picture and other stuff. (Point is, that isnt Jin in the casket).
When the show first started it was 2004, Kate's trial is presented time (2008).
Okay I finally watched it.. (shout out to my boiyz @ abc.com).. Here's my take on everything..
The outside world thinks Jin died in the crash on Sept 22, 2004.. along with all but 8 of the survivors ("8 survived but 6 made it back alive")... There has obviously been some kind of cover-up since we know that way more than 8 people survived the crash.
The two people who survived the crash but didnt survive the rescue could be Desmond, Michael or Walt... I'm thinking they will die sooner than we think. They'll never get off that boat. I'm def leaning toward Desmond dying since he had that "special" moment with Penny on the phone. It was his goodbye, in a way.
It's actually starting to make a little sense to me. This is usually when they throw a monkey wrench into everything.
I think the next big question should be, Why are the other Other's there? What is their primary objective>
Benny Balls. Totally agree about your assessment on when Jin died. There is definitely a cover up going on. My only thing is I dont think Desmond is one of those "8 died" because as far as the outside world goes, they dont know who he is. He wasnt on that original flight. So when Jack was testifying that only 8 of them survived, Desmond can't be included in that.
And that irritates the hell out of me that nobody ever second guesses what Daniel and Charlotte are doing on that island. Can someone take a timeout and say, "Look, nobody is doing a damn thing until you quit giving us all these dumb, vague answers and tell us what you are doing on this island? There are 30 of us, and 3 of you. We will kill you all". Thats how I think it should go down
Ahh true.. I still think he's going to die.. That phone call with Penny was way too sentimental.
Chris is right- Desmond is not one of the survivors. Does anyone know what the date was when Sun had her baby? There are many variations of time- The time when Jack had a beard and was despondant in the seasons finale, the time when Hurley was in the hospital and then again when he was in Korea, the time when Desmond spoke to Penny on the phone and Kate's trial. I can't keep track of all this. So who was in the casket and why did Jack get so upset? I wondered why they were saying there were only 8 survivors.
I think I figured it out. They left the Island and only so many could fit in the helicopter so they told them they would be back to get the rest. Once they left, they could not find the Island again, that is why jack told Kate he keeps getting on aplane every weekend and flies back and forth trying to find the island. I think that is why Hurley went crazy again because they left them there. I think Jin is still on the island, not dead, but for some reason all the survivors have to "pretend" That everyone else died in the crash, that is why Jins tombstone has that date. The cover-up involves the survival of the rest of the survivors. What do you guys think of that!
I'm thinking she couldn't have had her baby more than 9 months after Sept 22, 2004 since she was telling everyone that Jin was the father..
Aunt Terry--sounds good to me and makes a lot of sense, as crazy as it sounds!
According to Lostpedia (my new favorite reference database), Sun gave birth in July/August 2005 which is 9-10 months post-crash. Jin could still be the father if they got busy very soon after the crash.
Jin is definitely the father. They showed (well didn’t really show) Jin and Sun getting it on in the tent for a little “Make-up Sex” after one of their many fights. I think it was when Jin finally forgave Sun for hiding the fact that she spoke English.
Aunt Terry, great theory. Now you have me re-thinking this whole “Who is dead thing”. Maybe they know Jin is alive (with the rest of the people on the island) but they have to act is if they are all dead. So Hurley and Sun go to Jin’s tombstone because they can’t get to the real Jin since they don’t know how to get back on the island. I think that is the point you were trying to make.
Anyone on here pathetic like me and watch Alias also?
Chris, That is exactly the point I am trying to make. Why I think that is the date on Jin's tombstone. That really confused me since we know he did not die on the day the plane crashed so why would his stone say that he did?
We now know that Hurley was perfectly OK in the summer of 2005- so now the question is- when was he in the hospital- before or after the Korea trip? Someone is going to die this week according to the previews. If it is Jin then my theory is out the wiondow!
No to Alias? Is that still on?
Remember that guy that visited Hurley in the hospital? I bet he, along with the people Sayid and Ben are tracking down work for Charles Widmore. The reason they're trying to find (and capture) the Oceanic six are so they can find out where the island is so they can exploit it. I think Hurley went to the hospital just so he could get away from them. The person in the coffin was probably one of their victims and Jack was so distraught because he knew he could be next.
This is all probably obvious by now.. I just wanted to point out the reason why I think Hurley went into the hospital.
Sarah is OBSESSED with Alias. I've watched some episodes.
Mom & Chris-Great THEORY!
Sun was upset with Jin for not being at the birth-it seems like maybe it was his choice to stay on the island, with the hopes that they'd come back for him? It would make sense that the others sacrificed & let the pregnant woman (Sun) and the baby (Aaron) go first.
Ben-
Wasn't the guy that visited Hurley in the hospital the same dude who was in charge of getting the 'team' together? I think he is.
Not sure but that would confirm my theory since the team works for C.W.
Here is what I currently think on Wednesday at 8:47pm (I will probably completely change my mind by 9:00). I think we are all in agreement that only a certain number of people can get off the island (hence the Oceanic 6). Maybe the helicopter will only hold that many, maybe a boat they leave on only holds that many, whatever. I think a group is chosen to leave, Claire gives Aaron to Kate for 2 reasons. #1. Claire visited that psychic before she was on the plane that said someone from LA would raise her baby. She didnt even want Aaron to begin with. #2. The only reason Kate got off her charges was because they viewed her as a good person and a good mother. They had to make it believable that he was really Kate's son because if the courts knew that, that would have thrown their defense out the window. Plus, it is safer for Aaron to be home and off that island. So when the Oceanic 6 left the island, the whole plan was to get back and get the rest. Well the problem is they dont know how to get back to the island. Jack feels exremely guilty about this (shown by his reaction about seeing Aaron). Thats also why Jack said in the first episode of this season that sometimes he just flies around hoping he crashes (to get back. Jin was calling out for Sun because while she was drugged up she was delusional to the fact that he was with her in Korea, not that he was still alive (because he is still alive, just on the island). Since they cant see him, the closest thing they have is his mock tombstone with that obviously false date on it.
Well said. That's pretty much how I see it.. I think that's how the writers want us to see it. Which means.... they're about to totally mess everything up.
Also, that is why Sayid is killing for Ben. Because all of his friends are still on the island, alive and well. If Sayid didnt sell his soul to the devil (as he put it), then Ben will have them killed. Ben knew that out of the 6, Sayid is the only one that has the "moral flexability" to kill for him because of his past as a torturer.
Chris- Great 2nd part to my 1st part theory- about why Sayid is killing!! To save the rest of the people on the Island. I think we have all cracked the code! Tonight- everything could change, but I have a good feeling about our theories. I think the guy that visited Hurley was the same guy that put togwether Naomi's team.
Also I think Sun was yelling out for Jin while she was in labor because she knows he is really still alive.
